Nothing special in here. Just showing a beautiful precision needle on one of my vintage Triplett meter. I wish most newer meter could have a similar passion to have such artistic and high quality build as vintage one.

It is simply a matter of pride vs lower cost production . These meter where made for costly equipment by people who took a great deal of pride in what they did . Audimar Piquet vs swatch as it may be. The sad part is that few in Ohio where that meter was made love it as much as people half way around the world do. Interesting effect of the manufacturing Midwest. The eyelet was used to better judge the point on the scale the arm at . Earlier I was discussing this kind of thing with my wife in effect digital removes the user from the equation by not having to read the meter per say. Digital is passive analog is active . Regards
