I’ve just seen the launch of NVIDIA’s latest product, the 8800 card. Um well, this card is outrageously fast and simply to say the first to implement DirectX 10 (though currently no apps support this platform).
So, by the end of this year, we have two winners here. Intel kicks AMD with its Conroe, and NVIDIA kicks ATI with its 8800. It’s very interesting to see AMD and ATI “secret weapon” to answer Intel and NVIDIA’s challenge. Their current platforms are no match for Intel and NVIDIA. It looks like AMD and ATI are busy to reconstruct their internals (but I do hope they already set up strategy to bring back the competition). I expect more competition here…
